Time has been flying by!!! I have been here for 3 months all ready, and it feels like I just got here! Well I only have a week left of teaching for the year. The schools here are off the whole month of December and the they take exams during November. My time in the high schools was a very good learning experience. The way schools run here is quite a bit different from U.S schools. My hope and prayers are that at least some of the kids were able to get something out of what I was teaching. There is definitely behavior issues as well as language barriers to deal with as I teach. I think though that just me being in the schools and among the people of Pampierstad was a good thing. Hopefully it will open doors for me to be able to do more work in the city come January. Thank you all for your prayers as I was teaching these last couple months! All right so on to other news! I will be helping at a kids camp this weekend! It should be a good time, I think we are going to have quite a few campers! On Tuesday morning the 23rd I will be flying up to Zambia for a month of training. I am really excited about it, as I will get to see a lot of people I went through training with in Virginia. We will basically be learning how to survive in Africa, and how to relate with Africans in their culture. It will be pretty intense, part of the time they have us camp out in the "BUSH". I wont have internet so my communication will be very limited. One prayer request for this trip is HEALTH! Living in Zambia isn't quite as safe as living in South Africa. I really want to be able to enjoy this time of learning and seeing friends, so prayer for health would be greatly appreciated. Well things are going pretty good here, I'm kinda missing getting to watch football on Saturdays and Sundays, things can be pretty boring here at times living in such a SMALL town. Everything here pretty much shuts down by 6:00pm so there is no nightlife to speak of :) There are however some good places to eat thankfully!! It has now started raining here as well, and let me tell you the thunderstorms here are INCREDIBLE! The lightning is awesome, kinda scary but still cool. All right I appreciate all the prayers and I will update again when I get back from ZAMBIA!! I love you all!
